Are Saying?

NICOLE KURKOWSKI

Just thinking of this book brings emotional tears to my eyes. As an adult with some pretty heavy religious trauma in my background, I never pushed my daughter to be “the perfect Christian”. Instead from a young age I let her decide on her own what kind of relationship she wanted with God and just encouraged her to explore her heart and mind while giving her the tools to do so and answering questions along the way.

I bought a copy for both my teen daughter and her best friend as they are in high school and navigating their own paths of faith in the Lord. They both loved that it was not a super long read. It did not feel like yet another class assigned textbook that they needed to read, but felt enjoyment, enlightenment and encouragement while reading it.

They are now sharing it around their YoungLife groups and I can not imagine a better book for those getting ready to go out and spread their wings in college. My heart feels that reading this gave them a firm foundation to be brave in their faith when many falter in those first few years as new adults. I would love to see a sequel to this book.

“Master,  I wanted to thank you for writing your first of what I hope is many books about your amazing faith.  I’m confident God will continue to use you to grow his Kingdom.

As a believer who is raising 4 sons of God I really appreciated your words. Your constant reminder to “get in community” is a perfect reminder for all of us.

I can assure all 4 of my boys will get the opportunity to read your book. In fact my youngest son Max (13 year old) gave me your book as my Christmas gift. Great gift! “

My name is AJ Ambundo, and I play college football at Coe College which is a small D3 in Iowa. I’ve always been a huge fan of the Buckeyes, and I absolutely loved watching you play at OSU.

Now, it’s been awhile since I’ve genuinely picked up a book and taken time to read it, but after I saw that you had wrote a book I figured I would give it a chance. While I have always believed in the Lord and worshipped him, reading your book made me realize that I don’t appreciate the Lord as much as I should. Since I started reading your book, I’ve actually made it a point to read a few chapters out of my Bible every day, and I’ve started attending my team Bible studies and sharing my journey with God as well.

I want to say thank you. Your book opened my eyes and made me appreciate the things in my life a lot more than I did, and I feel that my role as a servant of God has definitely greatened after completing your book. Thank you for inspiring me to change, and trying to bring others along with me in my journey.

“This book is a great resource that gives you the practical steps from high school to college through the lens of the gospel. If you have a child in HS getting ready for college this is a must read.”

Read the book and it was great. I'm excited to give it to my daughter who is a senior. You had great tips and biblical applications and reasons as to why it's important for her to search out her community. Great Job!

For Christmas I got your book, 1 for me, and 1 for my brother (a huge Michigan fan) and we've been going through it. It's been such a blessing, and I just wanted to say thank you! God bless!

I really enjoyed the book. From star half back to an author and sharing the word of God. This book really shows how God can work in all kinds of ways.

Thanks again for signing the book. Reading your book has been really cool to see what the community on the team has been like and the way it's shaped your faith. It has made me want to pursue Christ more in my life.
